Recorded March 2, 2021 | On-Demand Webinar
CBD and other hemp-derived products being marketed and sold as foods and dietary supplements are widely available for both human and pet use, despite the fact that the vast majority of these products are illegal at the federal level. Although largely anecdotal evidence shows promise for hemp and CBD products to treat various conditions in pets, many questions remain about safety and efficacy of these products. In addition, if companies decide to market these products, there is associated risk regarding any health-related claims. This webinar will explore the FDA regulatory status of hemp-derived products intended for use in pets, the current state of research regarding benefits, side effects, interaction with other substances, and overall toxicity, and how to minimize the risk of enforcement action regarding claims and other labeling issues.
